The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has banned Tony Hanna a long distance runner from Lebanese runner one year and 4 months for the Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Octodrine and Heptaminol) (Article 2.1 and Article 2.2).) which is a violation of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
The 37-year-old was busted after an In-Competition urine sample test at the Beirut Marathon where he took the honors with a personal best time of 2:33.02.
Hanna’s results has been disqualified on and since 14 November 2021, with all resulting Consequences, including the forfeiture of any titles, awards, medals, points prizes and appearance money.
He has also has accepted the above Consequences for his Anti-Doping Rule Violations and has expressly waived his right to have those Consequences determined by the Disciplinary Tribunal at a hearing.
