African indoor record holder, Michael Saruni has been suspended by Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK).
According to the Adak Kenya website Saruni has been suspended for Evading, refusing, or failing to submit to Sample Collection which is a breach of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
The 26 year-old who holds the African indoor record with a time of 1:43.98, which places him as the fastest indoor 800m ever achieved in the US. This time also made him the second-fastest indoor performer at that time.
Saruni who is the former world record holder for the indoor 600m with a time of 1:14.79, that he set in January 2018, started his suspension from 14th August 2022.
