Kenya’s Methew Kimeli won the men’s 10 Miles Road Race at the 37th edition of the Dam tot Damloop held on Sunday (17) from Amsterdam to Zaandam in Netherlands.
The 25 year-old took charge of the race with a kilometer remaining holding on steadfastly to cut the tape first in a time of 45:20 and was followed by his compatriot Vincent Kiprotich Kibet who crossed the line in second five seconds later with the 2016 European 5000m silver medallist, Adel Mechaal closing the podium three finishes in 45:37.
Kenya’s Bethwel Kibet and Mulugeta Asefa Uma of Ethiopia finished in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 45:47 and 46:01.
