World 10,000m silver medalist Daniel Simiu Ebenyo whose gesture of sportsmanship during the World Road Running Championships earned him a nomination for the World Athletics International Fair Play Award ran away with the seniors men’s title at the third leg of Athletics Kenya Cross Country Meet held on Saturday (04) at Kyongong Grounds, Bomet County.
The 28 year-old who is also the Commonwealth Games 10,000m silver medallist, said he was preparing for upcoming 2024 World Cross Country championships that will be held in Belgrade, Serbia.
The ever smiling athlete who was beaten to second place after saluting Sabastian Sawe when he passed him in Latvia cut the tape first in a time of 28.41.71 and was followed closely by Edwin Kiplagat Bett in 28:45.15 with Vincent Langat closing the podium three finishes in 28.45.63
