After taking the honors a day ago in 3,000m water and barrier race at the Athletics Kenya North Rift Championships, the World Cross Country Junior bronze medalist Pamela Kosgei recorded her second straight victory after winning the 5km junior women race at the 3rd edition of the Moi Girls’ Kapsowar Charity road race held on Saturday (10) in Kapsowar, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
Kosgei, who is the young sister to the world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei took the title in a time of 16:29.22 ahead of Dorcas Jeptoo of 17:18.80 with Faith Kimutai sealing the podium three finishes in 17:49.40.
Dorcas Jeptekenyi and Winnie Kemboi finished in fourth and fifth place in a time of 18:01.86 and 18:06.57 respectively.
