Kenya’s Vivian Jerono Kiplagat won the 21st Edition of the Milano City Marathon that was held on Sunday (3) in Milan, Italy.
The 30 year-old who came to this race with a personal best of 2:21.11 that she got at the 2019 Abu Dhabi Marathon where she took the top honors,made it three wins as she lived to the expectations of the race organisers when she dropped the group at the 27km mark.
The queen of Milan ran the remaining 15km with her pace maker and as she jkept increasing the gap to cut the tape with a new personal best time of 2:20.17.
The race course record of 2:19.35 that was set last year by Hiwot Gebrekidan from Ethiopia remains intact.
