Kenya’s Victor Kipchirchir took the top honors at the 37th edition of the Buenos Aires Marathon held on Sunday (18) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Kipchirchir who is the reigning Eldoret City Marathon, led 1-2-3 Kenyan podium finish as he crossed the finish line first in 2:07.05 with Edwin Kiptoo coming home a distant second in 2:09.32. Victor Kiplimo closed the podium three finishes in 2:11.41.
Chile’s Hugo Catrileo finished in fourth in a personal best of 2:11.41 with Philemon Kiptanui from Kenya crossing the finish line in fifth place in a time of 2:14.18.
The race course record of 2:05.00 that was set in 2019 by Evans Chebet from Kenya remains standing.
