Julius Yego to headline Liquid TELECOM Athletix Grand Prix

Former World Javelin Champion Julius Yego will tomorrow (Thursday 22) participate at the 3rd Liquid Telecom Athletix Grand Prix series meeting in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa.

Yego who In the 2015 at the Beijing World Athletics Championships made history when he won Kenya’s first field event medal.

According to the Athletics South Africa, the 29 year-old will participate in the final Grand Prix series that has been running for the past three days.

Yego’s hopes of defending his javelin title were shattered at the London Championships when he managed a throw of 76.29m. German Johannes Vetter won the title as he finished 13th, way below his season best of 87.97 achieved during the national trials in June.
