Gideon Kipsang makes it three as he defends his title at Belfast Half Marathon

Kenya’s Gideon Kipsang defended his title at the 5th edition of the River Rock Belfast Half Marathon that was held on Sunday (23) in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The 30-year-old who battled for honors with Belfast’s Stephen Scullion in last year’s edition winning with by a huge margin of 90 seconds in 1:04.38, did not manage to lower his time due to bad weather patterns but managed a hat-trick when he crossed the line in 1:07.45.

“Am just a happy person,” said Kipsang. “Winning this title three times has made me to believe that every dream is possible,” He told the press.

North Irelands Vincent McKenna crossed the line in second four minutes later with veteran Karol Duggan closing the first three podium finishes in 1:11.11.
