Kenya’s Janeth Chepngetich ran the second fastest time at the 22nd edition of the Udine Half Marathon held on Sunday (19) in Udine, Italy.
The 24 year-old led 1-2-3 Kenyan podium finish as she cut the tape with the second fastest time of 1:08.24 after the course record time of 1:07.23 set in 2003 by Margaret Okayo from Kenya who also holds the record for most wins.
Chepngetich was followed by Lucy Mawia Muli who came home in a time of 1:09.38 with Lilian Jepkemboi Lelei closing the podium three finishes in 1:10.40.
Rwanda’s Clementine Mukandanga and Italy’s Vanina Del Santo finished in fourth and fifth place in a time of 1:13.46 and 1:24.22 respectively.
