Kenya’s Veronicah Njeri Maina ran away with the race title at the 32nd edition of the Prato Half Marathon that was held on Sunday (10) in Prato, Italy.
Maina pulled away from the leading group at the 16km mark and ran the reminder of the race solo cutting the tape in a time of 1:11.37.
She was followed a distant later by her compatriot Lucy Murigi who crossed the line over four minutes later.
Italian Valentina Mattesini closed the first three podium finish in a time of 1:20.36
