Levy Kibet beaten by Tadesse Takele at Vallagarina International

World U20 bronze medallist Levy Kibet was beaten by Tadesse Takele at the 44the edition of Vallagarina International Cross Championships that was held on Sunday (6) in Vallagarina, Italy.

Takele took a smooth revenge after finishing in fourth place at the Cinque Mulini a forth night ago, where Kibet took silver.

The Ethiopian was too swift at the last 50m when he gave a powerful kick to leave Kibet gasping for air as he cut the tape in a time of 27:08 with the Kenyan crossing the line three seconds later.

Burudi’s Egide Ntakarutimana closed the first three podium finishes when he came home in a time of 27:17.

Tunisia’s Mohamed Amine Jihnaoui and Samuel Kibet from Uganda finished in fourth and fifth place in 27:19 and 27:27 respectively.
