Nancy Chelangat Koech was the won the only medal for Team Kenya in the women’s’ 1500m T11 at the just concluded Tokyo Paralympics that were held at the National Olympics Stadium in Tokyo.
Koech who was guided by her brother Geoffrey Malel Kiplangat gifted Kenya the only medal that they won in Tokyo Para after a dismal performance.
Kenya had sent four competitors who featured in four disciplines – archery, snooker, athletics and swimming.
The one medal win was a reminder of the Britain’s 1972 Paralympics.
