Shadrack Chirchir took the honors in 8km Under20 boys which was the sixth event at the Agnes Jebet Memorial Cross-Country championships which is the fifth edition of World Athletics Cross Country Gold Tour that will be held on Saturday (12) at Lobo village in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County.
Chirchir was too good to his opponents as he sailed through easily cutting the tape in 23:55 and he was followed by Gideon Rono who came second in 24:02.
“I want to train hard to succeed in 5000m which is my favorite race. Today the sun was extremely hot, but I had prepared well. Now I want to focus for my KSCE exams due in April,” said Chirchir.
Dennis Kipkirui closed the first three podium finishes in 24:10.
