Double Olympic champion Sifan Hassan hopes of setting a new world record was dwafted at the Eugene Diamond League meeting in Eugene, USA.
the Dutch, who scooped both 5,000m and 10,000m at the concluded Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan won the 5,000m title in Eugene failing to lower Ethiopia’s Letesenbet Gidey world record set in Valencia with a record time of 14:06.62, as she won the race in 14:27.89.

Sifan also took a bronze medal in the 1,500m at Tokyo 2020.
