Kenya’s Reynold Kipkorir Cheruiyot cruised to 1500m finals with the fastest time of three heats at the ongoing World Athletics U20 championships that is being held in Cali, Colombia.
Cheruiyot ran the quickest time of 3:40.96 and was followed by Daniel Kimaiyo who led the heat one with the second fastest time of 3:42.69.
Two Ethiopians, Adihani Kasaye and Ermias Girma also sailed to the finals with a time of 3:43.06 and 3:45.40 respectively.
Other podium prospects include Filip Rak from Poland and Vivian Henz from Luxumborg who finished with the fourth and fifth fastest time in heats of 3:44.84 and 3:45.04 respectively.
