Kenya’s Rebecah Jeruto Cherop took the women top honors at the 21st edition of the Munster marathon held on Sunday (02) in Münster, Germany.
The 32 year-old who came to this race with a life time best of 2:30.04 that she got early this year at the Linz Marathon where she took the bronze medal, led a 1-2-3 Kenyan podium finish, winning her first marathon title 2:29.07.
Cherop was followed in second place by Jane Moraa Onyangi in a time of 2:30.05 with Judith Cherono closing the podium three finishes in 2:35.23.
Japan’s Ai Ikemoto and German’s Jana Kappenberg finished in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 2:41.20 and 2:48.09.
