Ethiopia’s Kemal Husen smashed the course record at the 41st edition of the Irish Life Dublin Marathon held on Sunday (29) in Dublin, Ireland.
The 30 year-old who came to this race with the fastest time on paper of 2:09.53 that he got in 2019 at the Osaka Marathon where he finished in fourth, lived up to the race expectations as he destroyed the race course record of 2:08.06 that had been set by Othmane El Goumri from Ethiopia four years ago with a course record time and personal best of 2:06.51.
Uganda’s Geofrey Kusuro came home in second place in a time of 2:10.45 with Irish Marathon National champion Stephen Scullion sealing the podium three finishes in 2:11.51.
