The Kenya team for 4x400m of Peter Kithome, Joshua Wanyonyi, Elkanah Kiprotich and Kennedy Kimeu qualified into the finals of the men’s relays finals at the ongoing world under 20 championships being held at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, Nairobi.
Kithome started the baton, with Wanyonyi, Kiprotich and Kimeu to finish second in heat one behind Jamaica team with 3:05.77 and Kenya coming second 3:05.82 as Botswana claimed the last automatic qualifying place in 3:06.33.
Kimeu said setting the fastest qualifying time sets the momentum for them ahead of the final.
