Reigning Istanbul Half Marathon champion Purity Temutai Komen is among the four Kenyans suspended by Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for the Presence of a Prohibited Substance, which is a violation of the World Anti-doping rules.
The 25 year-old has been charged on two accounts, Presence of a Prohibited Substances (Norandrosterone) and evading sample Collections. She has been suspended alongside Rebecca Jepchirchir Korir who has been issued with a notice of charge for the Presence of a Prohibited Substance (Methylprednisolone), James Gikunga Karanja who has also been issued with a notice of allegation for the Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Norandrosterone) and Esther Birundu Borura who has been charged for the Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Norandrosterone).
