Africa’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala led Kenya to its first ever 4x100m gold at the 22nd edition of the Africa Senior Athletics championships in Reduit, Mauritius.
The record breaking quartet consisted of Omanyala, Samuel Imeta, Mike Mokamba and Dan Kiviasi, ran away with the title in record breaking time of 39.28 seconds.
South Africa led by Akani Simbine came second with a time of 39.79 while Zimbabwe closed the podium three finishes in 39.81 seconds.
