Kenya’s Moses Kiptoo Kurgat ran away with the men’s title on his marathon debut at the 30th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon held on Sunday (13) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Kurgat who led 1-2-3 podium finish cut the tape in a time of 2:11.06 and was followed Kiprop Tonui who crossed the line in second with over four minutes later in 2:15.23 with Joseph Ngare closing the podium three finishes in 2:16.06.
“I would have recorded a better time if not the humid weather but am satisfied with my performance,” said Kurgat.
