Commonwealth Games 800m champion, Mary Moraa will face off with the Diamond League trophy defending champion Keely Hodgkinson in women’s 800m at the Zurich Diamond League Meeting which is the final stop on the Wanda Diamond League that will be held on Thursday (08) in Zurich, Switzerland.
The 22 year-old, who is also the World Under 18 400m silver medalist will battle the European champion, Hodgkinson as they wrap up the track season on high note.
The 20 year-old ‘The Hodge’ who is also the World and Commonwealth silver medallist this season alongside the continental title she secured last month will be looking for revenge after being thrashed by the Kenyan 400m National record holder, at the commonwealth Games last month.
The two will fight for honors alongside the 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist, Natoya Goule from Jamaican who comes to this race with the third fastest time on paper of 1:16.15.
The 2019 World 800m Champion Halima Nakaayi from Uganda , the 2016 European silver medallist, Renelle Lamote and American Sage Hurta will all be on the start line ready to battle for honors.
Other title contenders include Olivia Baker from United States who holds a personal best of 1:58.05 Elena Bello of pb1:58.97 from Italy, Lore Hoffman 1:59.65 from Switzerland and Anita Horvat 1:58.96 from Slovenia
