World 800m bronze medallist, Mary Moraa set a new Kenyan National Record in the women 400m at the Brussels Diamond League Meeting, which is the 12th leg of the Wanda Diamond League series held on Friday (02) in Brussels, Belgium.
The 21 year-old smashed the old Record of 51.56 which was set by Ruth Waithera 22 years ago with a new National and Personal best of 50.67.
Moraa finished in fourth place behind the World Mixed Relay champion, Fiordaliza Cofil from the Dominican Republic who took the honors in 49.80 with World 400m bronze medallist Sada Williams from Barbados taking second place in 50.15 and the 2019 European Indoor silver medallist Cynthia Maduengele Bolingo Mbogo from Belgium closing the podium three finishes in 50.19.
