Magut defends his title at Helsinki Half Marathon

Kenya’s Robert Kimaru Magut defended his title at the 4th edition of the Helsinki Half Marathon that was held on Saturday (9) in Helsinki, Finland.

Magut who was the fastest on paper with a personal best of 1:05.04 that he got at Riga last year and a threat to the course record of 1:06.58 that was set in 2015 by South African Folavio Sehohle.

The 35 year-old who won the last year’s edition in 1:07.49 managed to lower his time by twenty four seconds to cut the tape in 1:07.25.

He was followed by Jaouad Oumellal from Morocco with third position going to Ibrahim Mukunga who won this race in 2016.
