Lamecha Girma breaks world steeplechase record

Tokyo Olympic 3000m steeplechase champion, Lamecha Girma took down the nineteen year world steeplechase record at the Paris Diamond League held on Friday night in Paris, France.

Girma smashed the old record of 7:56.94 that was set by Kenyan born Qatar, Saif Saaeed Shaheen new world 3000m steeplechase record of 7:53.63.
