Kenya’s Antonina Kwambai took top honors at the 22nd edition of the Lille Half Marathon women race that was held on Saturday (1) in Lille, France.
The 26 year-old came to this race with a personal best of 1:08.07 that she got in Paris early this year proved once again that she is in shape when she took the women title in 1:09.43 missing the course record two minutes. The lille course record was set in 2009 by Mary Keitany from Kenya.
She was followed by Iness Chenonge who crossed the line in 1:14.53 with Spain’s Claire Desreumaux closing the first three places in 1:16.25.
