Ethiopia’s Kuftu Dadiso Tahir has been banned by Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for the presence and use of a prohibited substance, both violations of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
The 2019 Barcelona Marathon winner has been banned for 18 months ineligible from 20 May 2021.

The 26 year-old who has participated in eight marathons was found to have the Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Morphine) Article 2.1 and Article 2.2.
All her results since 11 April 2021 have been disqualified. The ban will stay in force till 20 November 2022.
