Kenya’s supremacy in the two lap men’s race went into smoke as they were thoroughly thrashed at the ongoing 4th edition of the World Deaf Athletics Championships that are being held at the Lublin Athletics Stadium in Poland.
A while ago Kenya had been giving the same medicine in the women 800m race when they finished in the last two positions.
Elikan Kiprop Rono tried to save the face of the nation but Michal Pawel Kulpa was too strong to deny the third sport in the race that was won by Aliaksandr Charniak from Belarus, who won gold in a personal best of 1:56.43 with the silver medal going to Daniil Baganov who pulled a personal best of 1:56.82.
Rono finished in position four clocking a personal best of 1:58.83.
John Kiplangat Koech finished in a disappointing sixth place with a personal best of 1:59.84with Francis Francis Nyamweya Rondi pulling the tail in 2:01.28
