Kenya’s Geoffrey Kamworor lived to his expectation when he did a hat-trick at the World Half Marathon that was held on Saturday (24) in Valencia, Spain.
The long-legged Kenyan has, arguably, proved the most versatile distance runner of his generation fought off a rich field that included former Kenyan turned Bahrain Abraham Cheroben, Aaron Kifle from Eritrea and Jemal Yimer from Ethiopia.
The 25 year-old and who is coached by Patrick Sang, the former World and Olympic steeplechase silver medallist, pushed the two to the wall as he cut the tape in 1:00.02 and was followed by Cheroben twenty seconds later with Kifle closing the podium three in 1:00.31
