Kenya’s Hosea Kimeli Kisorio won the 31st edition of the Zagreb Marathon held on Sunday (08) in Zagreb, Croatia.
The 32 year-old who came to this race with a life time best of 2:17.12 that he got in 2016 in Rome, ran the entire second half solo cutting the tape in a time of 2:25.21 with the 43 year-old Jean Baptiste Simukeka from Rwanda who was the second fastest athlete on the start list, coming home in second place in 2:29.15.
Croatia’s Andrek Hladnik closed the podium three finishes in a new personal best of 2:30.50.
The race course record of 2:09.55 set six years ago by Wycliffe Biwott from Kenya remains standing.
