Double World 5000m champion, Hellen Obiri from Laikipia Air Base took the top honors in the women 500m race finals at the ongoing Kenya Defence Forces Track and Field Championships that are being held at their Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, Nairobi
The 32 year-old recently signed with On Running which is an athletic shoe and performance Sportswear Company originating from Switzerland that designs and markets sports clothing and running shoes.
Obiri used her vast experience to lift the title in a time of 15:33.93 with the reigning Prague Half Marathon champion, Nesphine Jepleting coming home in second place.
