Ethiopia’s Mosinet Geremew smashed the course record of the 30th edition of the Half Marathon of Buenos Aires that was held on Sunday in Buenos Aires, Italy.
Geremew beat a strong field that included 2016 World Half Marathon gold medallist, Bedan Karoki from Kenya and 2017 Amsterdam Marathon champion Lawrence Cherono.
The 26 year-old Ethiopian battled with the two Kenyans but managed to hold the two as he out-kicked Karoki at the two hundred metres to cut the tape in in a new personal best and course record of 59:49 with the Kenyan crossing the line in second place a second later.
