Africa’s fastest man in 100m Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala has set another new National Record on his third race in the 60m at the Meweting Metz Monsele Athlelor World Indoor championships that was held on Saturday in Metz, France.
Omanya got back his revenge as he defeated the double All-American 2019 Indoor 60m champion, Cravont Charleston who had beaten him at Mondeville Indoor.
The 26-year-old set his first ever National Record in the 60m at the Miramas meeting two weeks ago in France where he finished in fourth place in 6:68
Omanyala was at it again broking the previous record by 0.03 seconds from his previous record of 6.63.
Charleston came home in second in 6.62 with Devin Quin who had also beaten Omanyala previously coming home in third place.
Ivory Coast’s Israel Olatunde and Hassan Taftian from Turkey finished in fourth and fifth place in 6:67 and 6.80 respevetively.
