Kenya’s sensational and Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala blazed into the finals of 100m race at the ongoing 22nd edition of the Africa Senior Athletics Championships being held at the newly refurbished Cote d’Or National Sports Complex in Reduit, Mauritius.
The 26 year-old who is a man on a mission, took the honors with the second fastest time of 10.07 after running his first race in 10.05 seconds.
Africa’s second fastest man Akani Simbine from South Africa was the second fastest with a time of 10.09 after taking the honors in heat three.
Nigeria’s Emmanuel Esseme Alobwede won the heat two with a time of 10.19 seconds and was followed by Henricho Bruintjie from South Africa in 10.21 seconds.
Eight athletes have qualified for the finals which will be held tomorrow at 16.10.
