Faith Chepkoech took the top honors at the second edition of Nyamira 10km Race that was held on Sunday (3) in Nyakongo in Masaba North Sub County.
Chepkoech battle for honors with her fierce rival Beatrice Begi and she accelerated cutting the tape in34:50.67.
Chepkoech applauded the county government for organizing this race, “This race has motivated me and I am looking forward to winning more titles. I also thank the county government for organising these competitions,” Chepkoech said.
Begi came home in second in 35:25.08 with Nancy Kerage closing the first three podium finishes in 36:38.62.
The winners pocketed Sh10, 000 each, while the first runners up received Sh8,000 and the third place finishers getting Sh3,000 each.
