Kenya’s Ernest Kibet Tarus won the 25th edition of the Ljublana Marathon that was held on Sunday (24) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Tarus took charge of the race from the 35km mark and he went on cutting the tape in 2:22.39. He was followed a distant later by Marko Ranković from Serbia who crossed the line four minutes twenty seconds later.
“I am satisfied with the run, I did my best. There were no major crises, the hardest was around the 29km. I like Ljubljana, the track as well, because it allows fast running. Maybe I’ll come back,” Tarus said after winning the marathon
The home grown Janez Mulej closed the first three podium finishes in 2:28.07
