Kenya’s Erick Ndiema took the top honors at the 8th edition of the Cracovia Half Marathon held on Sunday (16) in Cracovia, Poland.
The 32 year-old who came to this race with a personal best of 1:00.25 that he got at the 2015 Udine Half Marathon where he finished in fourth place. Ndiema ran with the leading pack most of the race but at the final straight he engaged his gear surging past David Metto to claim the top spot with a course record time of 1:02.09 with the latter coming home twenty eight seconds later.
Paul Tiongik also from Kenya closed the podium three finishes in 1:03.11.
The first Polish to cross the finish line was Mateusz Kaczor who came home in fourth with a personal best of 1:03.31 with the defending champion Vitaliy Shafar from Ukraine finishing in fifth in 1:04.53.
