Reigning world U20m champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi continued with his great form as he beat a stellar deep field ever assembled this year at the Rabat Diamond League held on Sunday (5) in Rabat, Morocco.
The 17 year-old beat the three top high profiled 800m athletes that included the 2012 Olympic silver medallist Nijel Amos and the reigning Olympics champion and silver medallists Emmanuel Korir and Ferguson Rotich.
Wanyonyi has continued with his superb performance after beating Rotich in Nairobi at the Kip Keino Classic and Amos in Vitovice Stadium, made a second confirmation to them as he them when he crossed the finish line in a time of 1:45.47 with the latter coming home in second place in 1:45.66.
The 2020 Summer Olympics 800m finalist, Gabriel Tual closed the podium three finishes in 1:45.71.
Korir came home in a disappointing eighth place in 1:46.93 with Michael Saruni and Rotich finishing ninth and tenth place in 1:47.60 and 1:47.72 respectively.
