Kenya’s Emmanuel Kemboi took the top honors at the 19th edition of the Porto marathon held on Sunday (05) in Porto, Portugal.
Kemboi led a 1-2 Kenyan podium finish when he cut the tape in 2:14.14 and was followed by Simion Tarus of 2:14.41 with Ethiopia’s Ashenafi Boja finishing in third place in 2:15.24.
Ethiopia’s Dereje Aduagna and Abraham Biwott from Kenya finished in fourth and fifth in respective time of 2:15.33 and 2:16.37.
The race course record of 2:08.47 set last year by James Mwangi from Kenya remains standing.
