Double Olympic marathon champion, Eliud Kipchoge has been shortlisted for the Laureus Sportsman of the Year at the 2022 Laureus World Sports Awards that will be held in a virtual ceremony in April.
The marathon record holder will be pushing to be recognized for the second after clinching the 2019 edition of the Laureus Awards that were held in Monaco for his extraordinary performances in 2018.
The shortlist features Formula One world champion Max Verstappen, Bayern Munich and Poland footballer Robert Lewandowski, just-retired American football star Tom Brady, 20-time Slam winner Novak Djokovic, five-time Tokyo gold medal winner Caleb Dressel and legendary marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge.
The Laureus World Sports Awards is an annual award honouring individuals and teams from the world of sports.
