World Under-18 bronze medallist Edinah Jebitokwho was tripped and fell down was drafted back to the team and will be on the semi-final list after an appeal launched by Kennedy Tabnui who is the team Kenya.
The 19 year-old who fell down after a tumble with Sifan Hassan from Netherlands 400 metres adrift of her rivals on the final lap of the women’s 1500m heats.

“She was tripped and fell down immediately after the bell at within 400m to go” this is according to the signed protest form.
This is good news as she will join Faith Kipyegon who won her heat and Winny Chebet who finished third gaining the automatic qualifications
