Olympic 400m hurdles bronze medallist Alison Dos Santos ran the third fastest time in the world this year at the Oslo Diamond League held on Thursday (16) at the Bislett Stadium in Oslo, Norway.
The 22 year old ran away with his third consecutive Diamond League title this season missing his own world-leading time with 47.26.
I ran a good time, but I expected more. I am in shape to run a 46 time. Every race we run is unique. If Warholm was here, it would be better. We are so proud of all the performances and our preparation this year. I have to finish the preparation to run very fast,” said Dos Santos.
The 2014 European bronze medallist, Rasmus Magi from Estonia came home in second in a time of 48.26 just three days after setting the national record in Turku with time of 47.82.
The 2017 European U20 champion, Wilfried Happio from France closed the podium three finishes in a new personal best of 49.01.
World Indoor 400m bronze medallist, Carl Bengtstrom from Sweden and the 2016 Rio Olympic bronze medallist, Yasmani Capello from Turkey came home in fourth and fifth in a time of 49.31 and 49.36 respectively.
