Kenya’s Diana Chemtai took the women top honors at the 8th edition of the Mattoni Usti nad Labem Half Marathon that was held on Saturday in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.
Chemtai who came to this race with a personal best of 1:07.55 that she got early this year in Turkey improved her time by 18 seconds missing out the event record by only one second, clocking 1:07:17. The 24 year-old ran her personal best last Saturday at the Birell Prague Grand Prix 10K where she finished in third.
Nancy Kiprop crossed the line in second place in 1:07.32 with Lucy Cheruiyot closing the first three Kenyan podium finishes in 1:09.52.
Ethiopia’s Dera Dida and Kenya’s Perine Nenkampi crossed the line in fourth and fifth both clocking 1:09.52 and 1:10.11 respectively.
