Daniel Simiu Ebenyo ran a crazy time as he beat Jacob Krop at the at the 10K Valencia Ibercaja that was be held on Sunday (9) in Paseo de la Alameda, Valencia.
The Cape Town 12k Cityrun winner has been in great shape took the lead after the half way mark and raced against the clock cutting the tape in 26:57 which is the 11th fastest time 10km time in history.
Ethiopia’s Chimdessa Debele Gudeta ran very strong in the last 2km mark passing Krop as he crossed the line in 27:10, with Krop closing the first three podium finishes in 27:23.
Kibiwott who had given Ebenyo the run for his money in early stages of the race could not hold the fast pace fading away and coming home in fourth place in 27:44 with Emile Cairess crossing the line in fifth place in 27:44 equaling Mo Farah’s British record.
