Former All-Africa Games Silver medallist, Cornelius Tuwei was dropped from team Kenya for the World Athletics Championships that will be held from next week in Portland, Oregon.
The 29 year-old was named in the team after finishing fifth at the Kenyan Trials for World Championships and Commonwealth Games that were held in Nairobi.
Tuwei was replaced on the list by the World Indoor silver medallist Noah Kibet who finished a distant seventh at the trials.
The team Kenya 800m men will now be made up of the Olympic 800m champion Emmanuel Korir, the 2018 Commonwealth Games champion Wycliffe Kinyamal, Reigning World U20 800m champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi.
