World and Olympic 3000m steeplechase gold medalist Conseslus Kipruto dedicated his Birmingham win to the fallen 400m hurdles hero immediately after winning the race at Alexander Stadium.
In his social media page of Face the African water hurdle champion said,” I’m dedicating my winning today in IAAF Birmingham to our lost beloved brother Nicholas Bett. My his soul rest in peace”
The commonwealth champion took 8:14.33 and was followed closely by Chala Beyo from Ethiopia who crossed the line 28 seconds later.
Nicholas Kiptanui Bett finishing third in 8:16.44.
