Kenya’s Collins Kipruto, will headline the men’s 800m race at the ORLEN Copernicus Cup, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold series that will be held today (Wednesday 08) in Torun, Poland.
The 28 year-old comes to this race with a life time best of 1:45.89 that he got last month at the CMCM Indoor Meeting, where he finished in second place.
Kipruto who finished third at this event last year will square it out with the 2018 European 800m silver medallist, Andreas Kramer who also comes to this race with a personal best of 1:45.09 which is also the Swedish National record that he got last year at this event.
The two will battle Olympic bronze medallist, Patryk Dobek from Poland who also won the European Indoor title in 2021.
The third fastest Scottish athlete of all time, Guy Leamonth will also be there to fight for honors as well as the 2019 European Indoor silver medallist, Jamie Webb.
