Kenya’s Celiphine Chespol shocked the star studded field when she beat the odds to win the 10km senior women’s race at the 5th edition of the African Cross Country Championships that was held on Saturday (17) in Chlef, Algeria.
The World Under-20 steeplechase world record holder cut the the tape in 35:10 and was follwed by another Kenyan Margaret Chelimo who crossed the line 35:13 with third place going to Yeshi Chekole from Ethiopia in 35:26.
