Former Africa Cross Country bronze medalist Charles Muneira Yosei ran away with the men’s race title in style at the second edition of Betika 15km Iten Road race held on Sunday (14) in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The 27 year-old who dominated the race in all areas said his focus will be to compete at the world championships come August. Yosei took the title in a time of 45:05.6 ahead of Weldon Kipkirui Lagat who came home in second place in 45:19.7 with Maxwell Rotich completing the podium in 45:24.9.
“This is part my training ahead of world championships trials. I need to make the team to Budapest,” said Yosei.
